Richard Martin

Executive Services Administrator

Richard Martin has been a cornerstone of the Davenport and Associates team for over 20 years. As Executive Services Administrator, Rich plays a central role in making sure every client feels genuinely comfortable and well taken care of throughout their experience with the firm.

Rich understands that retirement planning is about more than numbers. His focus is on making sure clients truly understand what is being proposed for them, why it matters, and how it connects to the things they care about most, whether that is building reliable income in retirement, protecting their savings, or making sure their children and loved ones are provided for. That clarity and care is something he brings to every client interaction.

His two decades with the firm reflect a deep commitment to the people Davenport and Associates serves and to the mission John has built since 1997.

Bob Myerson

Office Administrator

After graduating from Georgetown University with a degree in American Government, Bob began his career in politics at the consulting firm Black, Manafort, Stone and Kelly as a research assistant, working for named partner Roger Stone. With Stone, Bob co-founded the Republican Majority Coalition, a federal multi-candidate political action committee in Washington DC. He also worked on various local, state, and federal elections. Bob then moved to Los Angeles and transitioned into the entertainment business, working at mPRm public relations. Bob then accepted a position as a Vice President at First Look Media, responsible for public relations, corporate communications and marketing for all divisions of the company. Bob left First Look and co-founded an independent film distribution company Dada Films, which two years later merged with Tartan Films US.

Bob is currently the administrator at Davenport & Associates. He’s responsible for all aspects of client relations, hiring and onboarding new employees, and running day-to-day operations. Maintain CRM database, prospect leads from webinars, dinners, TV spots and email blasts from initial contact through Calendar appointments. He assists advisors and clients in all aspects of business and financial affairs.

Darrin Brodie

Marketing Director

Darrin Brodie joined Davenport and Associates in January 2024 as Marketing Director, bringing with him a genuine passion for helping financial planning firms connect with the families who need them most. His background spans both the analytical and creative sides of marketing, and he has spent the better part of a decade working specifically within the financial advisory world, learning what resonates with families navigating important decisions about their retirement and their legacy.

Before joining the firm, Darrin ran his own marketing consultancy focused exclusively on financial advisors, helping practices across the country build their digital presence, attract the right clients, and grow their businesses in a meaningful way. Prior to that, he spent nearly three years as a Financial Analyst at JPMorgan Chase, supporting the Chase Wealth Management division, an experience that gave him a deep appreciation for the intersection of data, strategy, and client relationships. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Ohio University.

At Davenport and Associates, Darrin oversees all aspects of the firm’s marketing, from digital campaigns and content creation to webinars, lead nurturing, and client communication. He is the person behind the scenes making sure that families across Connecticut, New York, and the country can find the firm, understand what it offers, and feel confident taking that first step toward a conversation.

Richard “Skip” Fertig, MBA

Director of Financial Services

Richard “Skip” Fertig serves as strategic partner to Davenport and Associates. He has previously held the FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses and has nearly a decade of financial advisory experience, having previously served as a Senior Financial Advisor at Prudential Advisors and as Vice President and Private Client Advisor at Citizens Securities. Skip earned both his Bachelor of Science in Finance and his MBA in Finance and Corporate Innovation from Post University, graduating Summa Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude respectively, and is a member of the Alpha Chi Honors Society. Skip works directly with our clients on retirement planning, with a focus on protecting families from unnecessary taxation and building long-term financial security. His credentials and experience complement the firm’s estate planning and tax strategy services.
